We had reserved our room well in advance knowing that this was the weekend of Austin City Limits and nothing would be available. We specifically wanted a room with a kingsize bed which they "reserved."
We arrive and they, of course, don't have a kingsize available, but they do have a room with 2 doubles in it. I can understand getting something wrong and I can accept something less than what I had ordered, but I also expect to get a discount because I'm not being upgraded (as if they could) and I'm not getting what I reserved.
They refused to give any kind of discount. Knowing that Austin was already full and we would not find anything close to where we wanted to be, we were stuck.
A simple $10 or $20 discount on the room would have kept me from pointing them out here. I hope many of you read this and avoid this Days Inn (very close to the Univ. Of Texas).
And I have to admit, I was shocked at the number of reports here for Days Inn's all over the country! We need to keep passing the (negative) word about these franchises.
