My husband and reserved the hotel a week in advance and never received a confirmation. The number provided required the confirmation to obtain information. We finally decide to check once we met the wedding party which was majority staying at the Marriott. Bad choice to reserve at the Days Inn. It took us hours to determine what was going on after ruining the bride and groom's after party because the employee at the front desk indicated that I didn't have a room. I had a major anxiety attach my husband began to speak to the employee. After a while he was told that someone checked in the room we reserved but they would accommodate. That isn't the worst part which was the next morning instead of an apology an hour after check out, "the new front desk" begins to open the door with the key and I open the door as my husband and I were in the room and the voices could be heard. Cleaning had passed by so my guess is she was the enforcement. There was a yelling match between she and I in front of my family which included my teenage son. I finally closed the door and advised her when we were done we would stop by the front desk. The yelling continued as to where I threatened to call the police and then said no I wil. They ruined our very long trip from GA to Gulf Shores, AL. The employees should be throughly retrained. Aside from that the room was dirty and the sink was broke. The elevator spelled like smoke and I only saw 2 other people there other than my family. $90.00 a night was not a discount. I was a rip off. Before this experience, I recommended Days Inn and even reserved other for them because I am in the travel industry which is why I am devistated. Travel agents take note.
