Refused to refund nine days of car rental Internet

We made a "package" reservation through Orbitz for airline tickets, hotel and car rental. One of the meetings we were to attend was cancelled so we needed to shorten our trip. Orbitz was able to change the return date from San Jose to Montana for an $858 additional charge! But then refused to refund the nine days of car rental that we would not be using!

They did change the car reservation with Hertz though! So we have to return the car after only four days use but are still being charged for the full 13 days.

Orbitz makes a killing on changes. They charge additional fees to make the changes and then refuse to refund parts of your package. We will never use them again and will be spreading the word of their poor service and unfair practices.

It literally took hours on hold on the phone to make the changes, some of the reps were unable to do what we needed. They said they would call me back and did not. Overall this was an expensive and miserable experience.

Very poor business practices!
