I booked travel to Philadelphia, PA from Atlanta, GA for February 11. Due to the historically bad snow storms in that part of the country the airline cancelled the flight and refunded my ticket.
I contacted Orbitz to refund the Orbitz booking fee because of the weather and they told me that their fees were non-refundable. I attempted to explain that my flight was to attend a funeral and that did not matter to them.
To make matters worse, their customer service is horrendous. They use an off-shore outfit on the island of Mauritious (SP?) and the people could barely speak English. Shame on Orbitz!
