Spirit Incentives
Ripoff, dishonest false representation

Upon receiving my postcard in the mail telling me about how I can receive two free guaranteed trips just for going and visiting there property in Tyler Taxes. The representative on the phone tells you there is absolutley NO pressure to buy just go and listen.

The drive is a nice one. Through forest areas and lakes. Upon arriving you are set up with a tour rep who takes you to the different locations with different resort accomodations to your specific needs. She was very nice and we talked about different topics.

When getting back to the main lodge she then informed me about the prices for the special timeshare program they offer. I politely said I would have to think about it because it is a major purchase, one I am not ready for just yet. (Which I was thinking about in the near future)

Then she leaves and another rep comes up and talkes to me. This person is someone who has actually (or is pretending to be) an owner of onw of there timeshares. Telling you how wonderfull it is. After again informing her that I cannot make the decision right at this time she left.

Then one more rep comes over and starts to again tell me about the program. This time though it started to get nasty. She started saying what a loser I was because I can't make the decision at this moment and how I am making a big mistake.

She then had me pick some game cards and told me to go through a back door to another smaller building.in there is where I recevied my so-called gifts.

The first gift was for a smaller trip which I chose Las Vegas. It requires a payment of $50 per person in advance. This must be done within 15 days of receiving the trip details.

The second was for a much larger trip giving you several options. I chose Hawaii. I was then sent an information packet asking me to choose my dates, I was to select 3 different dates, 45 days apart from one another.

I did so. I never heard from them again. I then called in October to check on the status. They told me that my first date was not available and that I would have to choose two different dates. They said I was sent a letter but never got one.

In december I called again, and was told by a rep who answered the phone that they try and guqrantee at least one of the dates requested. If the first 2 are not available the last one is surely quaranteed.

Getting closer to the date for the second date I figured it was too late to go and called once again to confirm the third date. Only to find out they stopped processing my request because they sent a letter to confirm dates I requested which I never received.

Also telling me that no rep would tell someone that any of the dates are guaranteed. It was all a scam, and the worst part for me was when they resorted to name calling because I was not ready to buy.

Florida does not have a law against fraudulent travel agencies unfortunately so nothing can be done. I am just glad I did not invest any money before hand.
