I got a phone call on Sep 12th from Agents Travel Network. They stated that I had won a package with included a 400 voucher for hotels and air fare. They also said that they would sign me up for a 20 hour phone card from Teli flex and a 5 night trip to Florida.
I told they " I'm not interested in the phone card and the trip to Flordia." They said ok, we will not sign you up. They were supposed to send out the hotel and airfare information for me to look over and after 2 weeks if I didn't want it, to call and cancel and the gifts would be mine to keep.
Well on the 28th of September I noticed that I had a withdrawal from my Checking account in the amount of 149.00 payable to a Flordia passports. I called my bank, had my account closed, and I called the florida passports and talked to them and explained myself.
The woman stated " we wouldn't bill you if you didn't agree to it. Then said she wanted to re-play my recording to refresh my memory. I said ok, and it clearly said in my voice " I do not want anything from Flordia Passports or Teleflex.
So she gave me a cancalation # and said a check in the full amount would be send out to my in 24-48 hours. I'm not sure yet if I need to call the police and file a report or wait and see if I get a check back in the mail. My bank says since it's for such a low amount they can't do much.
My advice for everyone is to close their account if they have been billed already and open a new one. They can't get into your new account
