I recently received a call from Melonie Waldron employee # 91095 on April 8th @ 6:45 pm. Her # that came up on my caller ID was 416-922-4760 Melonie stated that I won a free trip to Orlando, Daytona, Fort Lauderdale, and a cruise to the Bahamas.
She knew that I filled out a "Win a Free Vacation" form at a recent car show here in Buffalo, NY. How did they get my info? Was the booth giving away the vacation legit? Well I'm very wary about giving out my personal information. Being that this All Seasons Travel set up a booth in the Convention Center, I imagine it was legit.
Melonie went through the 10 minute speel. I asked if she could send me the information in the mail, that I wanted everything in writing. She said she cannot send me the information in the mail until she has my credit card information. Then I asked if I can have the direct phone # to contact her, she said she couldn't give that out.
I told her that I will not give out any credit card information until I see this "Free Vacation" in writing. She proceeded to talk over me, and I hung up.
I am not happy that this scam is going on. I will be contacting the Attorney General.
If All Seasons Travel claims, like I have read, that there are other companies DBA All Seasons Travel, I should hope the CEO is currently trying to protect its reputation.
Also to the people in other countries who have experienced the same scam as I have, quit stereotyping Americans, this scam is happening to all of us.
