Ramada Plaza Resorts false advertising ruined vacation - timeshare scam Fort Lauderdale Florida

We were tricked by skillful sales staff in believing that we are buying a dream holiday for our family. Ramada Plaza Resorts souded like a well known name, price was not suspiciously cheap and the brochures that were mailed to us looked like it was going to be first class holiday, packed with activitis and fun.

My 13 year old daughter invited her best friend to come with us and we were looking forward to enjoy long overdue holiday. It turned out to be the worst holiday in our lives and what a shame to invite someone else to join to such nightmare. "First - class accomodation" hotel was no better than motel by the highway. Welcome Centre employed staff that does not have any idea what customer service is all about. We were forced to attend timeshare presentation or we would not get our cruise vouchers that we have already paid for - it was not free or cheap package.

I later found out that they "sold" us for $300.00 to timeshare club for forced presentations durig which our children had to wait getting subsequent few hours of boredom. The cruise ship did not look at all like the one in the brochure, apparently the other one sunk. The boat was old, smelling like mould, rooms not better that prison cells, staff that barely spoke english, food terrible and drinks including water very expensive. Our young guest was not a first timer on a cruise ship and this one was a real disapointment (and we felt awfully ashamed) That was a total waste of precious holiday time. Lineups everywhere: to fill out some forms, customs, luggage loading, etc...

It took more than three hours to get off that ship after 2 sleepless nights due to terrible conditions and stress related to the way the whole holiday turned out to be. Than we were on the road for 4 hours to get to Orlando (like if we don't have enough driving and traffic in our everyday life). Again hotel on the highway in Orlando and another surprise. We were sold again to timeshare club otherwise we would not be given 2 tickets to Disney World that I swear we dearly paid for already taking into consideration the quality of our accomodation and cruise ship so far. What makes them think that if we did not buy it the first time they were trying to force it onto us that we would buy in during the second forceful attempt that wasted another half day of our so called holiday. We ended up paying everywhere for taxes and gratuities, meals, highways tolls, wasted so much time for unwanted presentations, driving everyehere looking for different resorts, hotels, waiting in lineups in unwelcoming Welcome Centers.

The quality of everything from service to accommodation was unacceptable and tottally different than what was described in seducing brochures. We ended up paying more than we could get if we were to purchase each part of this package individually without having to put up with timeshare clubs that we were not interested in. After we got back I found out that this company is a big scam. I have reported it to American Express and I hope to get a refund one way or another. After all we wait for holidays whole year, we pay lots of money for it and we expect to have some nice memories. It was all ruined for us and I feel like a fool that got tricked into such scam plus I felt ashamed that we invited a guest to such disaster.
