I tried the "Trial Membership" of Travelers Advantage for 3-Months. Didn't receive anything from them for 2 months. I had to call them 3 times to find out where my membership info was. When I did finally get it, I was pretty fed up by then. So I decided to cancel my membership. On November 29 at 10:30am, I called to cancel my membership. I received a confirmation number. Since I saw all the consumer complaintss about them, I kept my confirmation date and number just in case. SURE ENOUGH, my credit card statement just came today, March 13. THEY CHARGED ME $99.99 ON MY CREDIT CARD! I tried to call them IMMEDIATELY, but the recording said their call volume was to high and to call back another time! I was furious!!! I called my credit card company to refuse payment and they said it should be no problem since I had a canceled confirmation number.
Everyone, beware of travelers advantage!
They will rip you off, big time!
I really feel sorry for the thousands of people and elderly people that don't check their credit card statements very well.
It should be called... Travelers dis-advantage!!!
