I will keep this short and simple. For the second year in a row, Spirit has charged my bank a renewal fee for the $9.00 club. Last year, I caught it right away and they reversed the charge. This year without sending an email reminder charged my account again for a membership I never enrolled in again. My live-in boyfriend who i travel with has the membership. There is no reason for the both of to have it. I spoke to a representative of Spirit to get the date of my last cancellation. The date was for the year before confirming that I did not renew for this year. I disputed the charge with the bank. The bank reversed the charge but reversed it back again after giving Spirit opportunity to respond to my dispute. I'd like to drop my bank and sue Spirit also. There should be a class suit against Spirit. I am mostly concerned that even after cancelling, Spirit retains my CC information in their system, allowing them to charge when ever they please. I should not have have a new card issued because of this. Spirit needs to be sued.
