My son was scheduled to ride greyhound from Lubbock TX to Kansas City, MO on 5/15 to see his daughter graduate from Kindergarten to first grade. The bus broke down and the Lubbock clerk told him they were not sending another bus and that he would not be able to get a refund. After talking with the Greyhound headquarters, who showed very little concern, they said he could get a refund because the bus broke down. They also stated that he could catch a later bus. When he went to catch the 11:00pm bus, the Lubbock clerk told him and everyone else that the bus was delayed and that it should be there in another 2-3 hours. No confirmation though. Later the clerk told them that the Lubbock station would be closing at 1:00pm and everyone would have to get their bags and wait outside. When he made this announcement, the bus STILL had not left where it was to head to Lubbock TX. My son was not assured that he would be able to make the connection in Armarillo TX to catch the bus headed to Kansas City, MO. If he was unable to make the connection, he would be stuck in Armarillo unable to get back home or he would have to wait for a later bus which would put him in Kansas City, MO on Saturday. A WHOLE DAY LATER! When I called the Greyhound headquarters today, they basically listened and said there was nothing they could do but refund his money. What ever happened to customer satisfaction?
