Travel Agent Network, Guardian Marketing
Capital Vacations Ripoff Fraudulant Advertising Account Slamming prior to trial

We were contacted about a free trial for the Travel Agent Network which included a 5 day/4 night trip to a choice of destinations, a VersaTalk Long Distance Phone Card, and a voucher for a stay at a Marriott Hotel, all was ours to keep whether we kept the membership or not. We were told that the package would arrive in 7 to 10 business days. We were told that we could cancel within 14 days and our account would not be billed. Our account number was requested ONLY to verify that our account was valid. We were billed by ACH Withdrawl before receiving the package, which did not arrive until 3 weeks later, and also did not contain the voucher.

I contacted our bank after the first charge of $149.00 was taken out, they submitted a Stop Payment and credited our account and told us to watch our account for the next month. Today, one week after the original problem, I checked our account and noticed it had again been debited for $59.95 for a "CapitalFee" from Guardian Marketing. I have contacted our bank again and monday we will have to change accounts. We were not told of this additional fee by the company leaving us to believe there could be more fees attached without our knowledge.
