Extremely disgusted with United Airlines! Our son's flight was booked several month's in advance and 2 1/2 weeks prior to his trip they called and changed his arrival time for 2 1/2 hours later.
Second issue is, he arrived at the airport in Denver Co., 1 1/2 hour early and they checked his luggage in and then told him there was no room on the flight for him so they cancelled it. When he asked why, he was told he should have arrived 2 hours early. So his luggage went on and he did not!
He has been at the airport for already 14 hours and no flight is available. The whole reason we scheduled him to fly out at 6:00am was for him to make a family gathering that night, which obviously he won't make at all.
My other issue is this airline overbooked and gave my son's ticket away to someone else
He was told he would then have to be on standby and was turned down twice. The whole purpose of booking his flight at 6:00am was so he would make it home for the family gathering. My feeling is, if he wasn't called the first time to have his time changed probably none of this would have happened.
We fly our son sometimes up to 7 times per year from Colorado or Wyoming to North Carolina and we will now certainly look at other airlines in the future for our transportation.
