I've been approached by this "organization" and provided funds of 1 / 2 of the statement (200.76, requested to pay for 11.38) that I owed for Verizon Northern Inc. Smells bad because this isn't the collection organization which was coping with this (correct) debt. (my cousin was separated and that I got her a phone-in my title and he or she actually forgot to pay for the statement when she shifted again) and we'd no thought about that debt till I had been trying to purchase my home and examined my credit history and that I approached Verizon MYSELF to obtain this debt solved plus they delivered me for their collection company, that was NOT AFNI
I received this negotiation offer from AFNI on 7/7 and I was staying with friends at the time and it came to their address in my name, how they got that information, that I have no idea. Used to do not transfer to my new home until 7/14 which means this was bad from the beginning.
We got our tax statements and so I was deciding debt so when attempted to visit the website shown about the selection it did not occur, and upon a google research I came across this website, and thank heavens
BE CAUTIOUS available
I really hope people do understand that legally a business can't make an effort to gather a debt that's more than 7 yrs old. If you should be being charged to get a debt that's more than that, probably the most probable situation is that it's scam.
