I had been approached via telephone on 8/6/09 by an unsolicited company claiming they had been authorized by Medicare to send diabetic testing supplies to diabetic seniors. After declaring my name, my doctors name (they clearly had my telephone number) they requested for my Medicare Claim Quantity for payment functions. Medicare figures will also be social security figures that have an alphabetical letter attached. Given that they already realized I had been a diabetic mature, and clearly had additional relevant info I had been concerned about providing them with my Medicare Claim Amount. I sensed they must have had that info if actually these were authorized by Medicare. I approached Medicare who'd no report of the "provider" and was informed to record the info towards the NJ Inspector Generalis Fraud Hotline for futher analysis, that we did. I also requested this "provider" due to their Medical Provider Quantity that they were not able to provide me. I truly do not kow if this business is genuine or not but believe it ought to be investigated and seniors ought to be careful of the and every other unwanted telephone calls.
