Unauthorized charges on my credit card and incompetent staff

I was upset with the ridiculous level of turnover regarding their personal trainers. If I am paying over $100 a month the least that can happen is me seeing the same trainer each time. It was hard enough finding a trainer that seemed like they knew what they were talking about. I was going to cancel but decided to wait until after vacation to see if things improved. I tried to freeze my account but each time I tried I was told I needed this form or had to call this person, and every time the cost was different. They told me finally that I was charged a monthly fee to freeze and i would not pay the normal monthly fee. But come next month I realized that I was billed in advance for 3 months of freeze plus my normal charges for two memberships, the joke of a kid's club and the training. I disputed the charges and had to have my credit card company help me get the fees reversed.

After this episode I was bent on canceling. They kept telling me I could cancel anytime and I would not be charged again, which was a total lack of job knowledge on their part. It is at least 20 days before the next charge when you have to cancel to avoid another charge. Good luck getting your money back once they bill you. I tried to get the original gym where I signed up to help me, they pointed the finger at San Marcos. The "weekend manager" looks like he spends in week in high school and the day i walked in to the gym was his first day on the job. Total punk and extremely rude. One of the employees badmouthed the guy as he walked away! Finally I got the account canceled, or so I thought. I looked at my account today and they billed me $10 for the kid club! It was frozen and could not be unfrozen without my permission, so they said. And I thought it was canceled with everything else, but that is a separate form of course. And i will probably never see that $10 again.
Did I mention I had to pay an early termination charge to cancel the training? (half of what was left on the bill)
Total lack of service and knowledge from multiple locations and customer service has ensured I will never again be a customer of LA FITNESS.
