I actually do not even know what I can do about that, and this is why I write it here, but here is the story.
Three month ago I went to Gold's Gym to see how I could have a membership for only three months, since I knew I would be graduating and going home, where there are no Gold's Gym, in three months. I have been told that they only did 2 years contract, but if I signed they would cancel my account upon notification that I live more than 25 miles from a Gold's Gym. I asked him if it was it, and he told me yes, never mentioning how I had to do it, how many time in advance and especillay the $100 cancelation fees (which I am not able to pay now), which over only 3 month double my membership fees. I would'nt have agreed to those term.
I tried to read the contract, but he was very pushy, trying to get me off reading it, so I got tired and told myself "if there's somtehing in there he did not tell me and I need to know (I made it clear to him that I was living in 3 months), I would not be liable for that." I do not know a lot about the justice in the US, but I told it would be just like in Canada, where what has been told in order to get someone to sign is part of the contract (especially when there is someone with you that can prove it).
The fact is that I did not plan such an expense and I can't pay it, so they will keep charging me the montly fee for something I won't even have access to!
So, is there anything I can do?
