When I was picking up my 3 months old boat after having spent 2 months in service, I was charged $168 for unidentified service. I had to pay in cash, - they didn't accept anything else from me, as if a customer who spent $30,000 at their dealership was a thief who cannot be trusted with a credit card for $168.
When I dared to demand an invoice a woman called Lee got real upset. She finally created an incoice, that says the charge is for "estimate". I have never agreed to this charge, and its against state law to charge for unauthorized labor. It is also state law that invoices have to be itemized showing the hours spent, and the hourly rate. When I told Lee I want an invoice showing this, she laughed and waived me out. She said she isn't going to talk to me.
Finally getting the boat, it was damaged on both sides at Owen's. The new $30,000 boat with the fancy paint was scratched up on both sides! I got a promise that they will repair it in the spring. Like I want to go back to these scumbags!
On top of everything else, both fishfinder top units were missing. The man, Chuck, who promised the repairs, said he will ask the kid who washed it. Later he said the kid doesn't know anything about my fishfinders!
I left a message for the owner, to call me. He never called.
The boat I have used on two weekends has no fishfinders, and is damaged on both sides. And I had to pay CASH to get even the remainder of my $30,000 boat out of there.
