LA Fitness is a sub-standard gym that practices unfair and deceptive business practices. Their desk staff is rude and unprofessional. All the decent instructors leave because they are underpaid ($12 for an hour class) If you freeze your membership they make you pay a fee and then charge you full membership for an additional 2 months. Then when you try to cancel membership they make you physically go into the gym pick up a form and send it to corporate office certified mail — and if you're lucky they only charge you for another 2 months.
The front desk staff starts making announcements every two minutes an hour before they close. Then they turn off the lights before they close and you can't even see to go down the stairs.
I had a gym member scream, swear and use four letter words to me in front of Front desk staff member Kathy Whitman and she stood there and laughed.
I joined a better gym that treats clients better and will never go back to LA Fitness.
Rip-off! Greedy corporate entity that hires rude staff, oversell gym memberships and try to grub every penny they can from consumers — Buyer Beware. La Fitness only wants your money, will make it next-to -impossible to cancel and treat you like garbage.
