When I signed on with Lady of America I explained to them that I wasn't sure if I could complete a contract as I have had back and neck surgical operations. They assured me that if I could no longer use their exercise equipment that I could either suspend my contract, if I thought it would just be a temporary disability, or I could upon documentation be released from the contract. The contract states that this is possible.
Last week I informed them that I am going in for more back, neck, and arm operations and that I was requesting a release from my contract, with full documentation from my doctor indicating that I am permanently disabled and unable to use their equipment. Today their response was a dunning letter for full payment of the contract. I haven't even missed a payment as of yet.
After receiving this letter from them I contacted my bank to immediately stop any more payments from being electronically sent to them and will follow up with small claims court if need be.
