I overnighted a money order and order form to this company a week and a half before Christmas. I included a note that if there were any problems, they should call me. I received a call on Saturday before Christmas, the young man said there were no problems with the order and that he would ship it right away.
On Wednesday before X-mas I got a call from a young lady saying she just got my order and there were problems, naturally, I came unglued and demanded that they ship my order straight away so it would arrive by X-mas as it was my sons gifts.
I got the package on the 28th of December with 3 items subbed and was charged for 2nd day air.
Now, the fun begins, this company does not have a live customer service center. All communications are through a form you fill out and submit via their web site. They call the next day if you are lucky.
I received a return authorization number and shipped the 3 items back, which cost me more money, I asked for a working extension number and was given one that, naturally, didn't work when I called the next day.
I tracked my package back to their return center. They received it on the 18th of January, so far, no refund has arrived. They will not answer e-mail inquiries, and of course, I can't call them.
I am out over a hundred and fifty bucks because of these lying cheats. They advertise themselves to be the biggest and the best web based skate company. What a joke!!! They ruined our X-mas and I can't really afford to throw away $150.
Buyer beware. You'r way better off supporting your local shops if you have them (we don't). Don't get ripped off like me by shopping at Skateamerica.com.
