I ordered my grandson his first halloween costume and paid for it. Unfortunately, when I received it, I realized it was the wrong size and left it in the box, not even looking at it much further. I called the company and was given a return authorization number to return it. I also received an email stating that they realized they sent the wrong size, but they had no more of these costumes so they would gladly refund my money once the costume was received.
Luckily, when I mailed this costume back, I requested a return receipt notification. They had received this costume at "buy-costume" on 10/12/04. I waited for a couple of weeks, and started writing emails. I had several email exchanges with an explanation that no refunds would be given until after halloween as they were too busy. Today I received an email stating that the costume was customer damaged with grease marks that were inside the packaging.
I never even took this costume totally out of the package as I saw it was the wrong item. I returned it in the same wrapping as it came in. I believe they are just trying to get out of refunding this money, as I did nothing to this costume. I am not some type of weirdo person who destroys costumes for the fun of it, and if I had done something, would have written it off as my loss.
This has been the worst experience of internet purchasing I have ever experienced. It isn't even about the money anymore, it is about letting others know this company does not practice ethically.
