I ordered a custom dress from DESIGNSByCandiigirlz, a seller on Etsy, in January for my wedding to be held in July and made full payment immediately upon ordering, as is my practice. My dress was not ready to be shipped until the end of June. Prior to shipment I alerted the seller that Canada had just had a 3 week postal strike and mail was not expected to be delivered very quickly given the immense backlog of mail. I asked that she not use the postal system but look into the cost to courier instead and she responded that she would. The next morning I received an email that she sent it via UPS (i.E. The postal system). When I tracked the package at one point I was notified that it was lost. I found a back up dress so that I would not be dressless on my day.

I did not receive it in time for my wedding so I asked for a refund. I contacted Etsy in July and the reply I received was to communicate with the seller to resolve it and leave bad feedback about the dress. Somehow the feedback option had been removed so I couldn't do that.

After some communications back and forth and my returning the dress to her she finally agreed to refund my money.in November she said she was refunding my money but I saw nothing from her. Since then she has refused to answer my emails to her.

I tried to email her again in January but nothing. I emailed Etsy again to help me with this and received no help whatsoever.

Etsy was great when the sellers fulfilled their committments to me but I will no longer order from here.
