I ordered a custom dress from DESIGNSByCandiigirlz in January for my wedding and made full payment immediately upon ordering, as is my practice. My dress was not ready to be shipped until the end of June. Prior to shipment I alerted the seller that Canada had just had a 3 week postal strike and mail was not expected to be delivered very quickly given the immense backlog of mail. I asked that she not use the postal system but look into the cost to courier instead and she responded that she would. The next morning I received an email that she sent it via UPS (i.E. The postal system). When I tracked the package at one point I was notified that it was lost. I found a back up dress so that I would not be dressless on my day.
I did not receive it in time for my wedding. I notified Etsy and asked for help on July 22 but was told that my only options were to resolve the issue with the seller or submit negative feedback for the seller. For some reason the feedback option was not and has remained unavailable for this seller so that wasn't an option for me.
After some communications back and forth and my returning the dress to her she finally agreed to refund my money.in November she said she was refunding my money but I saw nothing from her. Since then she has refused to answer my emails to her.
I emailed Etsy recently and again received no help whatsoever. I will never order from Etsy again. I used to tell all my friends to order from Etsy but will warn them instead.
