Cellone Dishonest Billing, And Damaged My Credit Pa ripoff

It's been a long time since this happened, but it's still haunting an already damaged credit report.

In 2000 I signed a contract with cell one for two years.in August of that year I received a 220 dollar phone bill. I went to the local office where a very polite employee explained to me that I had been using the phone at the wrong times of day for my evening plan to be in effect.

Since the bill was obviously mine, I used my Discover card and charged the bill.in September they turned my phone off stating that I owed them August's bill. I talked with another employee who had my phone service reconnected that evening.

In October my service was again shut off, cell one stating that I had not paid for August. I called again and an employee said I owed them money, but he was not sure how much I owed, or why I owed it to cell one. I told them that when they figured out how much and what for I owed them, I would pay them, but until then there was no reason for my phone to be off.

A few weeks later, they called to tell me that in August the employee who took my payment by credit card had made an error and charged me all but 63.10 and that was the bill they were shutting my service off for.

Since I'd already been without service for two months, I told them that I would pay the 63 dollars, but I wouldn't pay for the months I had no service. At this point I received a letter stating that I owed them over 500 dollars for breach of contract.
Is it me, or is this a little ridiculous?
