I was called by Active Periodicals over a year ago to sign up for magazines for $21 for 3 magazines I'd be receiving or a 48 month period. The lady that "clarified" what i would be paying was talking so fast I couldn't understand what the agreement was. All I heard was $21 for 3 magazines for 48 months.
She didn't mention clearly that it I'd be paying $21 for the next 24 months! So I been paying for the past year and half.
I called in a couple months ago to verify when my SCAMMED contract was up with them and they said in a few months and she offered to "lower" my monthly payments to 19.95/mo and remove a couple magazines. So I said ok. Great!
She never mentioned that she opened up a NEW acct. And now I am being charged 19.95/mo for the same magazines I'm receiving now on top of the 21/mo i have to pay for the next few months. So apparently I'm contracted with them for the next 24 mo. AGAIN! ANd I'm paying DOUBLE! They scammed me into "agreeing" on a second contract for another 24 months. SO now I'm paying double.
Anyone else experience scams from this company. Or know how to resolve this??? Let me know I want out of these scammed contracts!
