My family had been in business for 15 years now and decided to no longer do business. When we was doing business my dad signed a contract with domestic uniform, he did not speak or understand English well so all he know was that he was getting service from them, he did not know that he was going to be signing a contract to be in it forever. The contract was signed way back when the business first opened, being in business with them for a long time their service was never good, but we said "hang in there" and now that we are no longer doing business they claim that we own them a termination fee of $3000.00 because we still have a active contract.
We understand that our contract get renew once every five years, but they never informed us of it to see if we would like to keep their service or not, they use the contract as an excise. Now that we are no long in business they claim that we have to pay them for the remaining years left on the contract. We do not find this as fair or legal but somehow they do, they claim it is legal that we pay them for the years left on the contract because we are no longer in business because we signed their contract.
