I used their service to fund purchases for my online business. They advertise No Payments No Interest if paid within 6 months, at the time I thought it was really helpful to have the purchasing power without taking out a business loan.
I made purchases using their service for the past 10 months and made payments on time every month. However, I started to notice that my payments were allocated in small amounts to every single purchase I made (they separated the purchases by months for the 6 month countdown). I made multiple requests, both verbal and in writing, to pay off specific purchases when I made payments so I don't go over the promotion period. Most of the time, they claimed that they did not receive the request and couldn't re-allocate my payments, or the last customer service rep made a mistake, or just the plain "not sure what happened since your last called".
I was unable to find out that my payment wasn't allocated to the right purchases until the next billing cycle. It seemed to me that this was done on purpose so the 6-month promotion is expired and I have to start paying the interest. Their online statement system is not on real time and they refused to provide any kind of statement in between billing cycle and just told me that I simply had to wait for the next billing cycle.
Their customer service reps were not helpful and very condescending, even the supervisor, when you started to ask more questions. The last incident was they claimed I owed what I have already paid off - I even made the payment over the phone to avoid the wrong payment allocation. The whole experience was like a repeated nightmare when it came time to pay the bill. I decided to pay off the whole balance and close my account.
Class action lawsuit... Anyone? Count me in if there's one out there!
