I have been wearing my Moms Diamond ring since she died over 14 years ago. The stone fell out and I had to bring it in to be reset, I brought in the ring, and because of a recommendation and Yelp reviews prior to knowing that Yelp has hidden all the bad reviews, now I do know. I stupidly and sadly relaxed and trusted, now I learned one must take photos in the store as you hand it over.
While looking at my setting I asked Rita who said she was Ernestos niece to look at a Tiffany setting ring and I tried it on... I told her that is a nice to also price a tiffany setting for me... She said she would call me with a few prices. She did but told me that for $125. I would get just my stone in my broken setting, not safe, but for $225. I would get them to file down my setting and rework the fit and for $425. They can do the Tiffany setting... I came in and selected the $225.00 and was called back in 16 hours and told my ring is ready. I did not believe it. I was shocked and said this must be a mistake, and came in But when I went in I was offered the cheep tiffany knock off I tried on from the case, and they tried to tell me it is my ring. Ernesto was not in I was Told to come back Wednesday when Rita is back. I did and she was lying to me in my face telling me she thought I would like this because I liked the tiffany ring I returned when Ernest came, he tried to tell me how fast he had to fix my ring, because he went on vacation. WHAT A HUE LIE.
The following week he offered me another setting. But still not my ring or my stone. I dont want their inferior ring I want my mother stone back. I have earrings from the same set as the ring it was moms 3 piece set.
I dont even know if it is a diamond they are trying to pawn off on me.
BEWARE. BEWARE of ERNESTO'S JEWELRY ON the upper west side in NYC.
