Aldo Shoes is the worst company ever - aldo shoes

This review isn't for this particular Aldo Shoe Store but just Aldo Shoe Stores in general. A week ago I placed an order over the telephone for a pair of flats that were on sale. The sales rep didn't seem to know what she was doing so I wasn't all that surprised to log into the bank and see I'd been charged 3 times.

I called the bank who said I had to call the merchant and have the merchant call them. I called the merchant and some airhead named vicky laughed it off saying that "oh yah we put in the wrong zip code so those were kicked back and no we won't call your bank for you, you have to do that.". When I asked for her customer service ID number she giggled again and said she didn't have one. When I asked for a manager she giggled the entire time she was telling me that they don't have one of those either.

So now I'm sitting here an entire 7 days later with $259.80 taken out of my account leaving me a total of $2.32 for gas, food, and prescriptions. I explained this to Vicky and told her all she had to do was call the bank to sort it out but she refused.

So now I'm just at the mercy of whenever this falls off at the bank and hey if I get fired because I have no gas money to get to work well then golly gee I guess that was just meant to be. And goodness gracious it is a blessing that I'm only on thyroid meds and not anti-psychotics because I can't get my needed prescription either. I'd hate to see what would happen if I actually was on some anti-psychotics and couldn't get them because Aldo and their employees don't know the proper way to charge a card, something I could do despite not having done so as part of a job for over 20 years.

So Aldo will never get my business again. As a matter of fact this was the first time they ever had my business and boy was that a mistake of the century. It isn't because they made a mistake, everyone does. It is their complete and total lack of initiative in correcting that mistake along with their absolutely idiotic sales girl Vicky who apparently thinks laughing and giggling instead of apologizing and fixing said mistake are what true customer service is.

Hey Vicky let me give you a little clue by four. Customer service is doing everything in your power to make sure your customer is happy. More to the point if YOU make a mistake that negatively impacts your customers life you should say SORRY repeatedly (with no giggling or laughing) while getting said mistake fixed. If you don't know how to fix it you should tell your customer that but assure them that you will find someone who can fix it and that you will call them back every step of the way. That is called follow-up, I know you probably haven't heard of it. Then you should cease doing anything else (yes that means no breaks, no twirling your hair around your finger while rolling your eyes into your head, no flirting with coworkers, and no giggling) until you have fixed your mistake.

When your mistake involves tying up someones entire checking account so that they can't get gas in their car to go to work and can't pick up their medications you might even, on top of your apology and fixing said mistake, offer them a gift certificate to insure that they will try your store again. And since I'll most likely get fired for not being able to get to work you could just tell your boss that someone much more qualified is available to take your position since you certainly don't seem to want to keep it.
