Deceptive, Dishonest, everyone always in a meeting (everyday)

I sent a UPS package from Mobile Alabama to a recipient in Florida insured for $4500. The UPS employee stated that it would not be left without a signature.

It was shipped a few days before Christmas 2003. The package never arrived at the destination and following up on the package, UPS stated that they left it out in front of the intended recipients house. The front of the house is about fifty feet from the street and easily visable.

After inquiring about the package, I was sent a letter from UPS stating that were unable to make proper delivery.

I submitted the proper claim forms and the claim was denied stating that since they say it was left in front of the house that they are not responsible for what happens after that!

UPS lost the package and comes up with some story saying that all they have to do is say they dropped it off and they are not responsible? Gross negligence!

Can you imagine if someone tells UPS that they sent them $1000.in cash and UPS says they did not receive it? Who do you think loses the $1000? UPS would not pay a penny unless you can prove it was sent and received!

My point being that if UPS says they delivered it, prove it with either the recipients or their authorized proxies signature.

They say they don't have any signature! (no person signed for it) In my opinion that is called a lost package and therefore the claim should be paid! The UPS management or CEO should solve this problem immediately.

I have contacted the Florida senate banking and insurance committee and Senator Bill Posey is assisting me with this matter.

I can't forget Mr. Tom Odom, He has been a very devious individual in this matter and has lied to me in the process of this claim! To be quite frank, I think his behavior is that of a coward! He attemped to get two handicapped people to say that the package must have been stolen "after" delivery so he can just say "claim denied"

That is the UPS ploy, get them to say "maybe someone took it after delivery", rather then maybe it never was delivered!

In checking into this matter I was told by a UPS employee in Southern CA. That they (UPS) have 'area' (they can't say racial) profiling which determines which area gets the privelege of getting packages left w/o signatures.

If you are in a minority neigborhood, chances are the packages won't get left so everyone in that area gets discriminated against! So what this means is; If you are in a less than average income and are near a hispanic or black or other minority neighborhood, UPS assumes that you are 'all' thieves and therefore you don't get the convenience of having packages left at the front of your house!

You would have to sign for them or they go back to the UPS building. They don't want packages to go back there because it is too much work! But, if you are near a minority area it's going back!

My package was sent to a predominately white neigborhood and they 'say' they left a package valued at $4500. Just sitting right out front?

It is in my opinion that UPS is racially discriminating upon the people of the United States and perpetuating our racial boundries!
