After filling out a raincheck, Kohl's failed to contact me when the item came in and they were put on clearance

In May, Kohl's had a special on an outside chaise lounge and was out of stock when I went to purchase the item. I filled out the raincheck to purchase twol chaise lounges and I asked if they would contact me or should I contact them when the item's came in. I was told that I would be contacted once they arrived. I hadn't heard from anyone so I contacted the store and they told me that they were not in and that someome would contact me when the chaise lounge came in. I tried another three times and still no chaise lounge's. Today I contacted the store again and I was told that they went on clearance and were sold out. I asked the young man (who was very helpful and I appreciated his help) why nobody contacted me and he said that he apologized and would check to see if they were online and I could get them sent to me free of charge. After checking they were no longer available online. If Kohl's is going to offer rainchecks they should assign a person in each store to contact those individuals first and ask if they are still interested and place them on hold for 24 hours prior to placing the items out on the floor. I have not looked or purchased a chaise lounge because I have been waiting for someone to contact me from Kohl's. Now I have learned my lesson when it comes to rainchecks given to you by Kohl's - they don't exist!!!
