Failed to deliver shipment from New York to India I called and got no repsonses for several weeks

I moved to India as part of my job in March. I contacted Dolphin International Shipping at the end of March. I spoke to someone who was informative and kept in touch with me by email. My shipment was picked up in the first week of April from NY.

I asked and was told there are regular shipments to India. I was told I would get door - to - door service to my company address in India in 5 weeks. This was the very last time I heard from Dolphin International.

Mid-May I called Dolphin to find out when the shipment would arrive. I called and emailed every day that week. Each time, I verified my email address since I can't be reached by phone here in India.

Every time I called I was told I'd be contacted in 24 hours since the person answering the phone could not tell me about my shipment and the person handling that account was not available at the time of the call.

Never once did anyone send me a return email. I started calling on a Monday. I called every day that week and the response was the same for each call though I spoke to different people: "I can't tell you whether your shipment ever left. I can't tell you where your ship ment is right now. The person handling that account is not available. She will call you in 24 hours."

At the end of the week, getting no response after being told someone would contact me, I filed a report with the Florida Better Business Bureau, whom in turn contacted Dolphin International. Then I contacted Dolphin again myself, again asked about my shipment, and again was told no-one was available to tell me about the shipmment but someone would contact me in 24 hours. No one did. I called in 48 hours and was able to speak to someone named Kathy who said the shipment had never left NJ. My shipment was still in the United States. She told me the shipment would leave the first week of June. I asked and she confirmed the shipment would take 5 weeks to be delivered.

I called Dolphin in July to get the status of my shipment. Eventually I was told that because no payment was received my shipment had once again not left the US. I asked that the order be cancelled and that my shipment be sent back to my parent's house from which it was picked up. That has not happened. The shipment is still with Dolphin International.
