Moving household goods Door to Door from Missouri to Germany

We searched for a moving company on the internet and Dolphin International Shipping, Inc looked O.K. To us.

We wire transfered the $ 300 downpayment for a contract to provide Full Door to Door service. The total cost was $6491.75 They acknowleged the receive of the downpayment.
We were told by the sales person that Kathryn Kaiser, VP of Dolphin will take care from here. The 20 FT container container was loaded July, 8 and we wire tranfered the remaining money to Dolphin, which Kathryn acknowleged the receive of this payment. Up on request from Dolphin we provided copies of all the paperwork requiered for international shipment. We finally and after a lot phone and e-mailing received the bill of lading which gave us the consignee in Bremen which would arrange to get the goods through custom and deliver and unpack and, and... Like a door to door delivery. The container arrived Germany first week in August. My wife traveled to Germany to be present for delivery. Dolphin International did not arrange the transport, and did not pay the shipping Company in Bremen to arrange delivery. Storage and demurrage cost started to pile up. After about a week my wife arranged with ITO Bremen to "get" our belongings. We had to pay ITO upfront since Dolphin did not live up to there commitments. So I paid now twice, about $2500 using existing exchange rates. ITO did sent an invoice to get paid, but never received any money yet. Dolphin acknowled to receive an invoice from ITO.

Kathryn said she tried 3times to send a wiretranfer, but it would not go through. I suggested if it does not go through send a cashier's check which Kathryn promised to send by end of August. Dolphin, means Kathryn told a secretary name is Kelly to tell me the cashier's check has been send. My wife did call ITO in Bremen, they claim they did not receive anything yet. I asked Kathryn via e-mail and phone several times to provide me proof of the payment. Nothing received yet. Whenever I got a hold of Dolphin or they finally responded to my repeated questions they were friendly and nice on the phone. They promised to get the situation taken care off. So I believed and believed until today writing this report

I feel betrayed and used by Dolphin International Shipping Inc.

Lessons learned:
I would not use the Internet only to select a moving company I would do research if the selected company has a good reputation. BBB Florida states.."this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to unanswered complaint (s).
This website shows customer complaints with Dolphin too..

I would never use Dolphin International Shipping again, even they would pay the shipping company in Germany. To much trouble for the money I paid or is this a moving scam...

I filed I complaint some hours ago, but I am not sure if it got mailed, so I write again, but the situation did not change.

I know my shortcomes with the english language and I appologize, but I hope people will read my story and can draw their own conclusions.
