Billed me for service I didn't receive

Dear AT&T,

The number on my account is — . I am writing you on the behalf of a case you have recently resolved. I have an international plan with you and was deployed to Iraq.in Iraq the cellular service the first four months was good, but after that it I was only able to receive service on a few weekends out of the month. This continued until July, from there I had stop receiving service completely.

However the bill I was still billed from July to August then my account was suspended. When I got back to America I called AT&T customer service asking to lift these charges on the accounts that I did not receive any service for that period of time which is a clear breach of contract, and that me paying the bill relied so heavily on the receiving service I was not able to pay if I wanted to. The customer service rep put in a case for me and told me she would talk to her signal analysts to resolve this case.

I then ask her for a copy of the data the analysis found, she agreed to do so when the case was complete. Unfortunately the case resolution was that the charges were valid and I would have to pay a total of $492.50 and I did not receive any data explaining the validity or any data whatsoever. When I called in attempt to fix this situation the rep read me the results of the case which had nothing to do with my original complaint, and did not have proper authority to deal with this problem.

This led me to ask to speak to a higher up, which I did two hours later. I understand that managers tend to be busy trying manage their section but this gave me the impression that the manager just didnt care about customers as the rep was able to simply walk down the hall and speak with her several times right away to answer my questions and I had to wait on hold a few a hours before I could speak my first word in. When I did get to speak to the manager she was already in attack mode and was not very professional.

I asked her if I could be transferred or get the number to whoever compiled the data to resolve the case she gave me a number. However when I called the number they were completely confused claimed to have nothing to do with AT&T stating This is ADT home security. We dont work with AT&T. Most of these things can be ignored since you know thats life but I was particularly offended about the number I was given. When looking back on the whole scenario it appeared your corporation could care less about legal issues or helping customers.

So in a final attempt to really solve this problem I would like to politely ask that you reconsider this resolution and remind you that the lack of service is in clear violation of our contract, though I dont seek legal retribution I will be forced to report this to the FCC if a reasonable compromise cannot be made. I am asking that you clear these charges and return my cellular service at no additional cost with all eligible upgrades my account had before the service suspension and all of the data involved in solving this case. That was the letter I wrote them in October, but since they ignored it a sent the charges to collections I would like to add what I left out of the letter.

Dear AT&T, F* you! I will never pay you that money. You could tie me up and put a gun in my mouth with the only way of survival being to pay that bill. I will gladly die with a smile on my face. Way to screw a guy having rockets shot at him on a daily basis. I know I'm not the first soldier to experience such b* but I will be the first to complain. I hope you screw some one with some real money like you did me and they have a field day on your @*. Specifically the president of the corporation that way everyone feels the flames on your way down.By no way is this a threat, it's just exactly how I feel.
