Bogus leads, credit card fraud, misrepresented real estate service

Haven't been with Reply Real Estate long, but long enough to know that the vast majority of the leads I received had no interest in buying/selling a property and there is something wrong with this company and how they work. They promise the world but beware of the very limited "exceptions" that allow you to get leads replaced. After just a week I knew it wasn't for me but I had to wait 30 days and pay for another set of worthless leads and they aren't cheap at $54.95 each. The leads I received were one of the following: bogus phone numbers/email, realtors, someone already working with a realtor, people wanting to refinance, individuals not wanting to sell but wanting to know a property value for a variety of reasons. Most people did not return phone calls or emails if they were real numbers/emails and those that answered had no interest in a realtor and told me they never expected one to contact them. If that happens a couple of times, no big deal but if it is 95% then it shows that the consumer is being tricked into signing up and then the bogus leads are sent on to hopeful realtors.

When you attempt to return the bad leads (outside the short exception list), Reply's rep encourages you to go into ambulance chaser mode. One nice guy I talked to was umeployed and on disability but was managing to hold onto his own home for now. He was wondering what it would take to buy another one. Wishful think is abundant out there and he wasn't a qualified lead but my Reply rep said she would call him and she encouraged me to check to see if he had relatives or friends that could help him buy a property. Really! They wanted me to talk those interested in refinancing to sell their home and buy another. Jeez! But the vast majority of leads simply went online to check the value of their property or someone elses and don't want to sell or buy. Such an incredible waste of time not to mention money.

I have never seen a lead generating company that sent so many worthless leads and then tried to justify it and even to sell me an extended plan. Had additional sales reps call and try and sell me Reply! Real estate even though I had already cancelled. Evidently, they don't keep a list of realtors who have cancelled and they are always looking to sign up more suckers. And the most interested anyone has been is the sales rep that called trying to get me back on board. He was just as encouraging and pleasant as the original sales person, but based on dreadful and expensive results, I declined. But that and my confirmed cancellation of their services didn't stop these folks from sending more leads and charging it to my credit card without my permission. My credit card expiration date and security code changed, but that didn't slow them down for a second. My credit card company supported me and reversed the latest charges.

The best I can tell is that all Reply wants is to sell as many crappy leads as possible to unsuspecting realtors and then charge as much to your credit card as they can get away with before the realtors cancel and then as many as they can before the realtors finally make them stop. Providing decent leads isn't even a goal, it is all about $54.95 times thousands of hopeful realtors out there.

The leads are bogus from unsuspecting consumers, so not only realtors are being ripped off, the public is as well. Then if that wasn't bad enough, they continue to disregard cancellations that have been received and acknowledged by others in their organization. Possibly the worst of all things is to charge to a credit card account without permission or authorization, seems like credit card fraud to me. This is an expensive service that doesn't deliver and tries to get as much as possible from every realtor signed up. Save yourself and your money and don't do it.
