Beware my fellow Realtors of LeadToRealty. They are the biggest rip off that you will probably ever encounter. From the get go, the leads were not "qualified' Every lead I received, with the exception of one, were either people that did not want to be contacted by a Realtor, were never looking for a Realtor, OR, were looking for rentals. With every lead you get a "lead sheet" with comments from the person who supposedly spoke with the lead. These comments were often misspelled or the English was terrible. Every time this happened, I emailed the LeadToRealty "customer service" people to which I would get a reply that they would "investigate" and send me a "replacement lead". They will not credit your credit card for anything. The replacements leads were also bogus.in fact, get this, when I threatened to cancel, that very same day, I received two bogus leads from Adelaide, CA. When I looked at where most of my leads were coming from, they were from that city, really strange. It gets better, however. I call the "customer service" people to complain and demand my account is cancelled. They state they need a 30 day notice and during that 30 days I will continue to get leads that I will have to pay for. I stated to this person that, you realize, I'm complaining about the leads and I don't want one more lead going to me from you, EVER. This person stated, and, no offense, but not in the best of English that my account was at 10 leads per month. I didn't know this was the case. She said that she can change my account to 5 leads a month. At this particular time I was at 4 leads, so one more and I would be done for the month. I said, fine, then I don't want anymore leads from you and send me an email to confirm this is the case. Sooo, what happends? Two to three days go by and I get not one, but TWO more leads AND an email that stated my account was now closed/cancelled!!! I called these two leads and neither stated they wanted a call from a Realtor or any help from one. I immediately called LeadToRealty and got the same person I always get when I call. I repeated to her what she had told me the previous week about one more lead and about my account remaining open. (Incidentally, they owed me a seller lead because the lead they had sent was a renter not a seller) She said that the account was closed and that they could not give me anymore of their "lovely" replacement leads nor could they credit my credit card as they do not do that. We went back and forth and she finally stated that I could reopen the account and they would give me replacement leads for the ones that I felt were invalid, however, I would receive 5 leads during the time it is open that I would have to pay for. I just laughed. I said, I don't want anymore of your crummy leads. She said, then why would you want a replacement lead for the seller lead you received. I stated "Because you owe me". They also charge for early cancellation, less than 30 days to the tune of $250.00. This is the worst company out there and my hope is, enough complaints and/or law suits will come of this and they will go under.
The real bummer is that as Realtors, we spend alot of time and money on these leads. I can't tell you the amount of time wasted on calling and emailing these so called leads only to get someone who was not wanting a phone call or confused about why I was calling. My time is valuable and wasting it on leads like this that I pay for is very frustrating and criminal on the part of the LeadToRealty company.
