Jame Winters, JT Enterprises contracted to do substantail construction improvement of a home in 2008.
He continued to request draws and took more than 80% of the contract monies and did about 10% of the work. It left me in a financial mess with a building in the raw which could produce no rental income and no monies left to complete.
Then when I went to the project to assess things after hearing weeks and months of promises that he was going to finish it, I was shocked that everything he said he had done was a lie. He had completed short of nothing I stoped the money flow to him and he disappeared. Not returning phone calls or resolving the work. He just disappeared. I felt like an idiot for trusting his promises and believing his lies.
This was a nightmare... If I didn't have a strong faith in God, I don't know what I would have done. Praise God, my faith carried me and with the help of some awesome miracles in my life... I got the project finished.
This is at its best, theft by conversion. When I tried to prosecute him, after going to police. I could not find him.
Just beware in the Coastal, Savannah area of Georgia. I don't want to see others go through what I went through with this supposed to be contractor. He is very convincing, so watch out! Don't believe his refrences either. Keep your money in your wallet and find someone with a history and reputation that you can depend on. I chalked it all up to a great learning lesson!
