A couple weeks ago I wwent shopping at the Ann Taylor Loft store at Stonebriar Mall because a friend of mine was talking to me about how she loves the clothes there and how she gets a good deal, so I decided to check it out just to see what she was talking about. As soon as I walk in, a very nice young man comes to greet me and asks me if there is anything that he can help me find, which I honestly did not know what to think because I am not used to men working at womens retail stores. Anyway, I told him just looking around, and he said that if I needed help with anything to just let him know. Then, a couple minutes later, he noticed that I could not find a size in a pair of pants that I thought looked really cute, so he asked what size I was and went to check for me, even though I knew he was running around the store helping other customers out. He came back less than a minute later with my size and started a fitting room for me. While I kept on shopping. When I told him I was ready to try on, he took me to my fitting room and opened the door for me, which he did not have to do since the room was already unlocked. He came to check in on me every few minutes and went to grab different sizes for me if something did not seem to fit right. I was very surprised that he helped me out so much because the store was busy and I knew that he was helping other customers at the same time. I kept on thinking to myself what makes me so special?! After I had picked out the items I wanted, he took the items straight to the register for me and checked me out immediately. Thankfully there was not a line anymore. I asked him if they had any coupons out right now since I had ended up buying alot of merchandise. I didn't think he would give me anything, but to my absolute surprise he gave me 20% off! As he rang me up, he asked if I made commission for this because I thought that he might have, but he told me he did not, I was very suprised! I have been to stores where associates made commission and none of them were nearly as nice as this man. I have to say that at fist I was skeptical of having a man helping me pick out clothes, but after my experience at Ann Taylor Loft, I can say that I don't think that anymore. I did not expect to buy anything that day, but thanks to him, I walked out with about 300 dollars worth of merchandise. I am starting to think that he might be a manager. Regardless, I will definitely be going back!
