Sprint Ripped me off with their Sprint 3G/4G USB Modem 250U by Sierra Wireless Unlimited 4G / 5gb 3G data plan. Originally I got the service in February Unlimited 4G and 5gb of usage on 3G network. First few months it worked great I didn't use it much but it was always on 4G network even when I went through mountains rarely ever did it go into 3G which was weird based on their coverage maps. After first three months suddenly i noticed it never connected to the 4G anymore it was always on the 3G network, I did nothing since I did not use it much.
In September Sprint changes my plan I did not receive a notification that they were making changes! Unlimited 4G was no longer available it was combined with the 3G 5gb limit. As I head no knowledge of this in October I went over the 5Gb usage they wanted to charge me $600 in overages. I called to find Out what was going on and this is when they told me my plan was changed, I was told that I signed an agreement which gives them the right to change the service when they pleased.
I told them that if that is so I was no longer under a contract that their change voids the 2year contract but they insisted that that is not true and I would incur cancellation fee of $200 if I canceled, it didn't matter what I did or said they did not want to hear it real bunch of you know what what they did is they waved the overage charges they said they would give me an extra GB for $10 more per month.in March I went over by 9mgb in roaming and they want 107$ extra they are telling me I used 277mgb in overage.
What I have figured out is that their sierra wireless device does not give you accurate realtime data usage it has a latency of about 24hrs. So based on what they are telling me by the time sierra wireless device notified me of the point at which the overage started I had already incurred all these overages. This is the way that sprint is tricking you into going over your data plan. Even this month of April the Device does not tell you when you are in the roaming 90=% of the time and still it does not give you realtime data usage which it should.
