This is a Sports Apparel store located inside Wal Mart. The store opened a few months before Christmas, I believe (Approx. Sept.). I have never been treated so poorly while shopping and been in a business that 80% of the merchandise isn't priced. When I was looking around I ask clerk working what a price was on an item, and rudely told the price (he seemed bothered by my presence of shopping there). I almost left the store, not wanting to spend any money at such a rude business. Fortunately, I did find a NFL hat, (one of which was marked).
I went to counter to buy it and my totalwas much higher the price marked. I questioned the man, it is only marked $15.99 why is my total $23 (unsure of change amount), he responded that's NOT the right price. I said, "that's what it is marked", he said well it's $23 do you want it or not? I said " $15.99 is the price tag on hat you need to sell it to me for that price. He replied " I don't have to give it to you for that price!" I said yes that's what it's marked, (He got very loud at that point) and replied, "I DON'T HAVE TO SELL YOU SH*T!!!"
I said I am also wanting to purchase a NFL jersey, but if you don't want to honor the $15.99 than I won't buy either. He told me then get the h*ll out of his store!!! I ask when the manager would be in, and he said "I AM THE MANAGER". I don't believe that any person shopping in a store (under NO circumstance) should be talked to like I was. There was 4 or 5 other customers there shopping, and it was quite embarrassing to be yelled at like I was. I WON"T ever shop that store again, UNLESS, it is under new management.
Since that time, in passing, while I'm shopping at walmart. I have noticed it is still in operation, but very often, the gate is closed during the day (lights on and T.V.'s) no clerk. Walmart greeter has hinted that yea the Manager is working today but, he's gone quite often for hours at a time. They seem bothered by the situation, hours open are posted but... Their not there!!! With having a business license, shouldn't they have to abide by the hours of operation they post???
I hope that if other people have had a bad experience at this store, that something be done with enough complaints for new management. West Sacramento needs more clothing stores and it was nice to see a Sports Store in the community, without having to go to the mall.
