Urban Bank Completely misleading & false promises of RAL

I had been seeing all these ads on tv about "everybody gets a check! At Instant Tax Service!" & with everything going on with changes to RAL rules i decided to try them out. I should have known it was a horrible idea by how shotty & ghetto the office was. From the jump the lady didnt open the office til 11am (an hour late) & was so "overbooked" that she offered to just copy all our SS cards & w2s & IDs and promised to call us the nextday (saturday feb. 11th 2012). We agreed & went on our way, taking her at her word.

I couldnt help but think how disorganized and bad business-like this was. The next day came and we called at noon to arrange a time come sign the papers & tie up any loose ends. The phone (which we later found out is her personal cell phone doubling as a office phone) WAS OFF!!! We tried calling & leaving voicemails all day. Nothing. They are closed sundaysl. Convienient. First thing Monday (11am Feb. 13th.) we were there ready to find out why were blown iff & lied to. She apaulogized & started working on them.

An hour and a half later the papers were signed and we were PROMISED that we would be approved for the RAL seeing as we were expecting over $3000. I believed her because we ALWAYS got approved in the past by H&R and by Jackson Hewitt. I would have never even gone here if it werent for the RAL. She stated we would know our approval status in 12-24 hours. It was never explained how to pay her her fees. THATS how un-professional this was. The next afternoon ame & we called around 3pm to check the status. No word back yet told us give it another 24. So we did. Called wensday Feb 15th yet again to check.

SHE CONFUSED US WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!! & when corrected saidvshe didnt look thru our file fully and apaulogized but said still no word back from the bank and said should give it one more day. So we did but i started getting this bad feeling. So today (Feb 16th) we called and she said she hadnt gotten anything back and it was safe to assume we were denied and it would be another 7-11 days. We are absolutely FURIOUS! We have never been denied and there isnt a reason why we would be. This is horrible business!

Ive never been so appaulled by such out right lies. This company & its "bank" should be investigated at minimum & ideally repremanded or shut down. I cant believe i paid $500 for such a disaster! They should be ASHAMED!!! And to boot their website doesnt offer a corporate phone number. Probably because theyd be slammed by complaints. If anyone has any info on how to file a complaint, get my $ back, or right this wrong we would be sooo grateful. THanks in advance!!
