In september i retained the services of the attorney robert suhr in columbus ohio to help me save my home by filing chapter 13. The fee for the retainer was paid and the paperwork was in process of being delivered to his office. Prior to the submission of all the documents necessary to file the motion on my behalf for bankruptcy protection his office proceeded to contact me to percuade me to change my mind and file chapter 7. This was okay however my goal was to keep my home and not loose it. After several discussion regarding this matter i decided that it would be best to utilize an attorney that specializes in bankruptcy filings. When i contacted this attorney less than 30 days after i submitted my retainer on getting my refund due to my dissapointment with the handling of my situation. They no longer accepted my phone call and never provided my full refund. After months of trying to contact his office i still received no response and no refund of the retainer submitted. I recently filed a complaint with the bar association and they stated that there was little they could do to make him refund my retainer in full due to the fact that this was the first time a complaint had been filed against that attorney. Due to our complaint this attorney has sent us a check for half of the retainer submitted to him without a breakdown or outline as what he thinks he is entitled to. If you need assistance with any matter and you want someone that truly cares about your situation and respects your business as well as your financial situation make sure you think twice before you use this attorney.
