Western States Postal Services is a scam. Please be wary of this and do not give out any of your personal info. These individuals are stealing and sending the packages to you and you are a "shipping clerk" do not fall for this scam. I really thought they where a legitimate business. Call me gullable. They startede shipping packages to me that I would "process" and then send to an international address. My husband became very suspicious and did a search. Onc we read the rip off report I was appalled and I felt used. The way that it started was I received a email with the following: Hello,

You have the opportunity to become one of our remote employees. Your duties will include receiving and processing parcels and letters sent to your address, as well as sending them to our customers. You will also need to print prepaid labels, process invoices, and take photos of the contents. We work with the courier services USPS, DHL, UPS, and Fedex. Parcels will be delivered to your home address, so you will need to be at home during business hours, which are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will work using your online account at our companys website. There, you will find the list of incoming shipments, your current work tasks, and also the relevant prepaid shipping labels for sending letters and parcels. Due to the fact that the entire process is fully automated and the shipping labels are prepaid, you will not have to pay for anything on your own or fill out any forms and documents. For working with us, you will need a printer and a simple digital camera. It is also desirable that you have a car for delivering parcels to the relevant postal service providers. If you are disciplined, can work independently, and maintain consistent contact with your manager by phone and email; this is a good fit for you.

Your salary will be $36,000 per year, to be paid on a monthly basis. Since this is a home based position, it gives you an opportunity to save your time and have more flexible schedule with less stress and anxiety, but it is not a part-time position and you will not be able to combine this work with any other full-time job.

You can feel secure during the work process. For security purposes all our customers go through a careful verification process. The parcels usually contain electronics, clothing, auto parts and sporting goods. During the work you will be able to inspect the majority of parcels yourself. We also work only with fully paid shipments. We do not even initiate operations with any customers if we are not sure about their factual sphere of business or the purposes for which they are using our services. We clarify this during a phone interview. We work with our clients only after they send us two types of ID and 1583 form certified by the notary.

Thank you for submitting your application. After a careful review, we are pleased to offer you a full time position as a work at home employee. This email provides a description of your daily duties, as well as what you need to do in order to complete the employment process. Again, welcome aboard.

Daily duties:

1) Be available at home from 9am-5pm, Monday thru Friday to receive letters and parcels delivered via USPS, FedEx, UPS and DHL. Occasionally deliveries will arrive after 5pm or on Saturdays, you will be informed prior to such exceptions by your manager, however it is important that you check your list of incoming deliveries daily so as you are aware of the estimated times of delivery.

2) Always be in contact with your manager via phone, email or web chat. Log into your online account, review your emails and familiarize yourself with your expected deliveries for the day.

3) When receiving parcels and letters, occasionally they will be in our customers name, please sign on behave of said customer.

4) Open and inspect all parcels making sure there is no damage and that the item is what the description in your account says it is, take a photo of the box and upload it to your online account.

5) From your online account, download and print the prepaid shipping labels and place them on the original boxes.

6) From your online account, download and print the new invoices, be sure to remove the original invoices and replace them with the new invoices.

7) Deliver the parcels and letters to the corresponding offices of USPS, FedEx, UPS or DHL. This must be done in a timely and accurate manner.

8) From your online account, enter the new tracking numbers for the parcels and letters that you have shipped.

9) Stay on top of your shipments' status and be prepared to reply to your supervisor's inquiries.

10) Communicate with all carriers and solve any issues that may arise, such as, the shipment is delayed or the status of the shipment has not been updated.

Completing the Employment Process

Attached please find and print your employment agreement, the W4 and I9 forms, fill them out completely and fax them to (800) 828-9073.

Once these forms have been received by us, we will send you your personal login information as well as other needed information.

After logging in, we need to confirm that your address is correct and you are 100 prepared to receive and forward packages on behalf of our clients that are delivered to your home address. Therefore, I would like for you to send me a test message using the Messages option. When it is received, I will know you are ready to go.

Here is an important point that must be followed without fail. Every package or correspondence that is received daily must be processed and forwarded to our clients the same day when they arrive before 3 pm. You can find the prepaid shipping labels available online in your account.

To get the process started, the first package will be delivered within 7 business days. So, be prepared.

Your first paycheck is mailed 31 days after you forward the initial package. So, the date of your first paycheck is tied to the forwarding date of the package.

Instead of getting a check, if you choose to use direct deposit please let me know, and I will send you the necessary form to complete in order to expedite the process. If you have any out of pocket expenses, there is an expense report attached which must be submitted no later than the end of each month. The reimbursement of those expenses will be added to your paycheck.

I fell for this hook line and sinker. I really thought it was legitimate. But its not. I started getting packages at my house. I have forwarded one. Please do not fall for this. Be very wary and be careful.
