I have been trying to get a credit from Shape fx for returned merchandise almost nine months (since last July)! All I really wanted to do initially was to exchange two items for a smaller size. Their return form suggested that was a standard procedure, with places on the form to indicate that preference. After 2 months and no replacement merchandise I called and was told they no longer replace items. I asked why they wouldn't alert the customer of that change in policy but I did not get a decent reply. I also asked why "my account" didn't even indicate that a return had been received by them or that a credit is pending... Again, no decent reply. Fortunately I did have USPS tracking on the return and could prove they received it. At that time, they assured me a credit had been issued on 9/1 back to the account I used to pay for the order. NOT! I checked my bank account for the entire month pre and post September 1... No credits! Due to the fact that we are preparing to move back to the states I let more time lapse before calling them back.
Late in December I called again. Explained everything again... Was passed to another clerk and explained it again, before being told I would be contacted within the next several days by one of their managers. Needless to say... I've never been contacted. I am really beyond frustration with them. A few years back I ordered quite a bit from Spiegel and Newport News and never had problems like this; they were both pretty reputable. How times have changed! I will never order from Spiegel, Newport News or Shape fx again. They not only have kept my money, failed to keep their promises, failed to provide adequate return forms with accurate procedures and policies and the only communication I ever get from them are the 2-3 daily emails promoting their sales. You might ask why I haven't blocked their emails by now... It's because I still try to think positive and keep hoping that someone will actually try to communicate with me about the money they owe me.
