I orginally had to contact Verizon regarding a 2nd phone line in my home I had to get turned off. I took care of that business and got the hard sell on DSL, which I did not want. Next thing you know, I am getting messages on my home machine from Verizon telling me my DSL service is ready to go. I received a package in the mail which I refused delivery on, it was apparently the necessary modem for the service I DID NOT order.
I have now called Verizon three times to get this non-ordered service cancelled. I just got a phone bill, and there is a $34.95 charge for DSL, a service I have never used and did not order.
I am sick of having to sit on hold only to be assured by some customer service monkey the service is cancelled, and then the charge appears yet again on my bill or I get another phone message about it.
It's extremely dishonest to sign customers up for a service they never wanted when they are calling on other business. It is extremely dishonest that the charge for the unwanted service shows up on the regular phone bill. I am at wits end dealing with this problem not of my making.
I hate Verizon.
