We ordered our tuxedos about 6 months in advance. I would call periodically to confirm everyone had been measured and that my order was being processed. Finally, they told us to pick up our tuxedos on the Thursday before the wedding on Saturday. We had people from our of town drive to this store after work to pick up their tuxedos, on the word that that was the day they'd be ready. Keep in mind all but 2 of 6 were paid for in full and the other two had a deposit.
After waiting in line for an hour and a half, we came to find out that only 2 of our tuxes had come in. Our out of town people went home empty-handed, they had to go back to work the next day.
So, now it's Friday, the day before my wedding, they told us to come in after 1230. My fiance had to work til 2 that day, so I was in line. I got there at 1230 on the dot and fell in line behind 5 other people. I proceeded to wait in line for 2 more hours. Eventually, it was 2o'clock and my fiance was off work, he came and joined me in line (it had not moved).
We finally got our tuxedos and had to leave without trying them on or risk missing my own rehearsal (which was an hour and a half drive away). No one behind the counter apologized, no restitution was made. Half the tuxes didn't fit correctly, but you better believe they wore them anyway, after all that trouble. My dad's pocket was ripped and there was an old lighter inside, leading him to believe that his tux hadn't even been cleaned or checked. When he asked them about this, no one seemed to have an answer.
I am writing this complaint to warn future brides. You have so much other things to worry about on the DAY BEFORE YOUR WEDDING. Also, the groom's tux was one of the last to come in, believe me that was stress I didn't need. I think after hours should shape up, because they're were at least 20 other people in line behind me on both Thursday and Friday. It got to the point where we said "at least there here". That should not be your attitude with this kind of rental. On one of the most important days in your life, everything should be perfect, and if it's not, restitution should be made in some form. After Hours dropped the ball.
