Wisconsin department of health services, enrollment services center Make administrative mistakes that clients have to pay for, dont respond to concerns or questions, always lowering benefit amount

I got food share to assist me while Ive been out of work. I was getting 352$ a month. Then all of a sudden, even though my monthly household income is always the same, my benefit amount started going down every month.

I contacted my worker, but got no response or answer of course, about why. Isnt that what Food Share and the workers that you have there are for? To help you?

Then Food Share made an administrative mistake, and gave me more benefits than I should have gotten for two months. So I had to either pay back almost 500$ or they would take it out of my benefits. Thats terrible that they can make such a big mistake like that, then you have to pay for it, even though you did nothing wrong, and it was there fault.
And if you dont, they threaten to turn it over to collection agencies, take your state income taxes, etc., but when you have a problem, they dont respond or answer you. You do everything yourself right, so you dont do anything wrong and get in trouble. But then they do something wrong.

They say you have the right to review records related to the mistake, so I requested them, and guess what, never got those either. When you need help from them or answers, you never get any, but when you owe them money, even if its not your fault, they are all over you. My food share benefits go down so low they arent even enough to buy two weeks
groceries with already, and then they want to reduce them even lower to recoup the loss which was their fault in the first place.

What good does it do to have food stamps if things like this happen? Youre not really getting any help that way at all. You just get hurt more.

They should be more careful and respond to concerns/problems
