I canceled my Callwave account back in Feb. 2004. I no longer needed it when DSL became available in my area. I canceled online and also verified with my phone company that it was indeed canceled. So several months pass and all of a sudden I get a bill claiming I still have a fee for "Busy Call Forwarding" I called to verify with my phone company that they have no such thing listed on my account.
I have sent countless emails to Callwave informing them of this mistake and they are very insistent that it exists! I think this is a big scam to unsuspecting ex-customers. I have no such thing as a busy call forwarding thing on my phone and furthermore, I have DSL so my phoneline is never busy because I have call waiting with my phone company! I have contacted my SC State Attorney Generals office and also reported it here.
I emailed Callwave about the actions I am taking. My next step is to call my local TV station and have it put on their buyer beware segment. Do not pay this bill... It is a huge scam from a dishonest company out to get you!
