Early this year I received a billing from CallWave stating I owed them $3.95 for service.
I do not have their service at this time. I did have their service about 3 or 4 years ago. I canceled my account when they became a fee based service. They claim I still have busy call forwarding on my telephone so calls are still being forwarded to CallWave when my line is busy. (which keeps the account active)
I called my telephone company and they verified that I do not have busy call forwarding on my telephone. I contacted CallWave to cancel my account. Today I received another letter from CallWave stating I still owe them $3.95 I again contacted my telephone company and they checked my billing record for the past year and said I do not have busy call forwarding.
What do I have to do... Change my phone number to stop this? Will this $3.95 problem show up on my credit report? I have been searching the web for answers and I see I am not the only one having an issue with CallWave.
Maybe we need a class auction law suit!
